> Robert de Hoog joins the cast of Steven Spielberg's War Horse. Other actors in Spielberg's first film to reach the screens since 2008’s Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull are Emily Watson, Peter Mullan, David Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jeremy Irvine. War Horse traces the friendship between Joey, a farm horse sold into the British army and sent off to serve on the battlefields of France during World War I, and Albert, his young owner. War Horse is expected December 2011.

> Robert de Hoog and Hanna Verboom (DEUCE BIGALOW: EUROPEAN GIGOLO) play the leads in ME & MR JONES, an English spoken movie about Joran van der Sloot by dutch director Paul Ruven. ME & MR JONES has been shot in Aruba, 5 years after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The movie is expected in theatres February 2011.

> DUSK has been selected for the international film festival of San Sebastian. DUSK (original title: SCHEMER) by director Hanro Smitsman (SKIN, CONTACT) will hit Dutch cinemas this fall on October 14th 2010. Click here to watch the trailer (no subtitles).

> Robert just completed shooting MOWGLI AND FIDEL, a short film in which he stars again with Teun Kuilboer. MOWGLI & FIDEL will premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival in September 2010.

Robert de Hoog was born in Leiderdorp (near Leiden), The Netherlands on November 18th, 1988. He was raised in Alphen aan den Rijn and now lives in Amsterdam.

In 2008 he was accepted by the Amsterdam drama academy. In that same year Robert played his first feature film role in Skin.

SKIN is about a Jewish boy that turns skinhead, based on the first racial murder in The Netherlands. For his performance in Skin Robert won the Golden Calf for Best Actor at the Netherlands Film Festival. He was also nominated fora an International Emmy Award as Best Actor.

Robert and Skin-director Hanro Smitsman joined forces again for the Dutch thriller DUSK (original title: SCHEMER). The cast consists of promising young Dutch talents such as Gaite Jansen, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen and Melody Klaver.

De Hoog will star in THE DOMINO EFFECT bydirector Paula van der Oest, (director of the Academy Award nominated HOTEL PARADISO (original title: ZUS & ZO). DUSK and THE DOMINO EFFECT will both be released in 2010.
